ok I have been spending endless hours on this site as well as a couple others. I think my brain may have hit it's optimal information intake. Maybe i'm on information overload and now don't know where to start. I am in a bit of a delimna over an auto repossession from 1998. I pulled my credit report from all 3 bureaus.On Ex report and it is reported as original amount $8757. under account history it says charge off as of 9/1998 to 2/1999. voluntarily surrendered as of 8/1998,7/1998.transferred/account charged off. $3593 written off $3593 past due as of 8/1999. Creditor statement says purchased by another lender. Then i get the TU. It shows same information plus it states 2 collections on this account. CA #1 apprears to represent itself as if it was the OC. showing a voluntary surrender as if i've had 2 vehicles repo'ed.CA #2 shows account placed for collection. placed on 08/1999 with a balance of $6597 due. shows account updated 12/2003then when i flipped the page over and looked at the hard inquiries CA #2 has placed inquiries stating inquiry type as individual. Then I get the EQ report. OC and CA #1 are not listed but CA #3 is. It states only that it is a collection account. says my date of last activity was 5/1998.under status is says the account is open. I am soooooooo confused. after the vehicle was turned over i NEVER heard from the OC again. I have no clue as to what it sold for or anything. as far as CA #2 i NEVER received anything from them either. Then CA #3 apparently has had my account since 5/1998 if thats what they are reporting as last date of activity; they wait until to contact me in attempt to collect and used numerous barbaric tatics including making my wife cry by telling her how bad of a wife she was and she didn't love me for allowing this to happen. She could stop this by cooperating and pay this account.
