By the time posters find us they are almost always with a CA. If a poster is still with an OC, we always try to help posters find adequate ways to deal with and pay their debts. When debts are with CA's, its usually a lost cause - meaning you will pay & pay and never get out of debt. For instance: Start out with 1100 debt.. pay for three years (total of 6200) and new CA has account showing 5900 still owing on a three year old debt (my true story - Thank God for Sol, for I have paid my debt over and over again). Settlements with CA's are a joke..CA's will deny settlements or just pass balance on and it starts over again. I realize many collectors (some are nice people) do not even know that this happens with the accounts..this is done by the company (especially if they think a debtor will keep paying).
