I used them and ... spent close to $3,000 for their services. So far I have not benefited at all, and since I ignored letters from a lawyer --for the creditor (as instructed to do by DEBTXS) I have been sued.

From what my lawyer told me ... given time and if the credit card company/collector pays attention to the letters from DEBTXS it could work for the consumer. In fact DEBTXS sent letters to the credit card companies instructing them of their intentions but one paid no attention, and I guess sold to a law firm that likes to make big bucks off of these kinds of things.

I've had to spend another 2,000 dollars for a lawyer (could have paid off one credit card when you add what I have spent on DEBTX and a lawyer).

Got a letter yesterday - suit has been dismissed so now I wait to see what settlement plans will be created. My lawyer used what I had done with DEBTXS and my payment history (with DEBTXS) to demonstrate my intentions - to find a way to cut the debt in half by getting rid of high interest rates, late fees and only God knows what else.

If I were you I'd spend what DEBTXS wants as a service fee towards paying off the credit card company. This company will NOT allow you to send them a check monthly - they want a voided check so that it automatically comes out of your bank account -- and the fee will be high (based on the amount you owe) the first couple of months and then for the next 9 or so months you continue to pay plus you are supposed to be saving in case any of the creditors want to settle.

I will NEVER use a company like this again. Once you are sued - they advise you to get a lawyer (I didn't need them to tell me that - I did it and then called DEBTXS and told them). I am not mad at anyone but me... lesson learned.

Good luck.
