This was my experience. There was a large waiting room. People were called into a smaller office, one case at a time. I was under oath, there was a tape recorder. the trustee asked me my name and address, basic info. He then asked me if the info that my attorney had submitted was correct. In my case, he asked me how I calculated the value of my house (tenants by the entirety in my case). Who appraised it. He asked me if I was currently involved in any litigation. He asked me when was the last time I used a credit card. My trustee was a very nice man. No creditors showed up, and they rarely, if ever do. I was not aware of any creditors in the waiting room. The whole process took maybe 10 minutes. I was nervous too. That is just natural. Just relax and be honest. Your attorney is correct, you will be fine. I received my discharge a couple of months later. I did not have to go to court. Even my husband was surprised at how easy it was.
