I got a call today from Hayt, Hayt, & Landau. Didn't answer the phone but I know they're calling for Sherman Acquisitions about an old Sears charge account. The last time the card was used was in 1997 but I don't know when the last payment was made. I'm positive it's outside of the 4 year SOL for FL. How do I go about proving this? I do not have an old credit report as someone suggested in another post and I can't find anything in my old bank statements. Do I just go ahead and send them a letter saying the SOL has expired even though I don't have proof? Also, I am trying to find out if the SOL can be reset in FL if a payment is made. I'm sure no payment has been made in the last 4 years but again, I have no proof, just my memory to go on. If it turns out a payment was made at some point, how does that effect the SOL in Florida?
