To determine the SOL, look at your credit report, look for the chargeoff date, then look for the first "30day Late"prior to that charge off date. If the account is passed the SOL, then send the SOL letter. If the account is within SOL, best to ignore them for now. Chances are good that they will go away if they can not intimidate you or scare you into paying them. Watch caller ID, let the machine pick up, change your phone number. Whatever works for you.
