Right, don't talk to them. However, if you are within SOL, send a LIMITED cease and desist. We all tend to agree that cutting them off completely will triger a law suit. If the account is passed the SOL, of course that is a different story. These low life CAs obviously don't care if they violate FDCPA, which means the debt they are trying to collect on his probably close to or passed the SOL. Alabama has a 3 year SOL on credit cards. To determine the SOL; Look at your credit report, Look for the chargeoff date, then look for the first "30 day late" prior to that chargeoff date.
