Is this a federal loan? Is it showing on your CR? If the answer is No, then I would assume it is a written contract?? So, if it's 10 years old, it is most likely long passed the SOL. If that is the case, send the CA the SOL letter, if he is reporting this loan on your CR, you need to dispute it off.
