What state are you in, and when was the last time you paid the original creditors before these accounts became deliquent.

Bad TLs remain on CR for 7 years from time of deliquency.

ABSOLUTELY NO CRIMINAL LIABILTY. Best case scenerio is that a CA sues and gets a judgement. Not likely, they actually sue a small percentage of charged off accounts. Best case scenerio is that nobody sues and in time you have good credit again.

There is a lot of psycholgy in debt collection. Best way to deal with CAs is to IGNORE them. They will lie to you, they will threaten, and they may even tell you that you will be arrested. 99% of what a CA will tell you is bull. Lay low, don't apply for any new credit, just let the SOL run. Watch caller ID, let the machine pickup, change your phone number. Whatever works for you.
Post your state and tell me how old the debts are. I'll give you a link to the SOL in your state.
