It did not happen to me.....so honestly, I do not know from personal experience. I only know what I read here. They get a notice from the bank or try to use their ATM card.......no notice.
They CAN'T do anything if they don't have the banking info. I really don't know how they get the banking info if you are not using the same bank that you used to pay them. If the CA has a judgement, the bank will do it. That much I do know. So, if anyone has a judgement against you, it can happen. The other thing is, if they get a judgement, the can compell you, under oath to disclose banking info, employment, salary, assets. BUT they have to have a judgement against you to do that.
