NCO is bad news. They bought a deliquent credit card account in 1999. The original credit card account no longer shows on any reports as is it was past the date of first reported deliquency (SOL). It is no use trying to deal with NCO. I tried. They told me everything I quoted from the various Fair Debt Acts was a lie. File an online dispute with Equifax. They were very prompt with me. However, be careful. NCO goes by several names. My account was bought several times and the original original creditor was unable to be "located" even though the same amount due for NCO and that original credit card was the same amount. If it is listed with TransUnion...forget it they won't help or bother to investigate the dispute. Report NCO to the Federal Trade Commision and the State Attorney General's Office in wich that agency is located...let Equifax know that you are doing this as well. Good luck.
