Requesting "validation" on a debt that IS YOURS while it is within SOL usually invites a lawsuit.

Your SOL started when you first defaulted on the account(missed a payment) not when you stated the account, if that is what you mean by "written".

If, however, you mean that your account first defaulted in March 2000,or before, than you can answer the lawsuit with a SOL defense.
