Questions about SOL &Sherman Acq

Ok, I hope someone out there on this wonderful board can understand what I'm going to try to explain.

I looked at my credit reports and I have an account with Discover card that is well beyond the SOL. The balance of the acct is $2924.

This is where Sherman Acq. comes in. They are listed on my CR for me owing them $2591, the only balance that comes close to that is my Discover card.

Now, here's what I don't understand, they may have re-aged my account. They show the following:

12/02- charge off
1/03- ok/ unknown
2/03- charge off
10/03 ok/unknown
11/03- charge off

Everything on my CR is well beyond the SOL, this is why the account with Sherman Acq baffles me. I have NEVER talked to them on the phone, let alone pay them a dime!!
