This call showed up on my CallerID simply as Salt Lake City. It was supposedly from a collection agency that claimed to be following up on an unpaid credit card account for an individual with the same name. After they argued extensively with my wife, telling her that it was probably a credit card account that I never told her about (for obvious nefarious reasons), they asked her for the last 4 digits of my SS number to determine if it was really me. I can't find the phone number on any of the free searches that I tried, and calling back led to a nonworking number. Anyone with a similar experience? Anyone know how to find out who this might have been?
