No, they still have to get a judgment in order to freeze or seize your bank account. The first thing you should do is send the refusal of arbitration letter ( I will give you the link) It will be easier for them to get a judgment with the arbitration award, and your defense will be that you refused arbitration. They can not deprive you of your day in court. If they get a judgment against you, they can, without warning, seize bank accounts (if they know where you bank) garnish wages, seize property that is non exempt. Your SS check is exempt, but you are right hastle if they get into that account. Keep the account that the SS check goes into seperate from any other money, just in case you have a problem. You want to be able to prove that the account is SS check only. The send the refusal of artibtration letter ASAP, certified/return receipt.
