Cleared up my credit 7 yrs ago, purchased my house 6 years ago, purchased my car, refinanced, and recently refinanced again 2 mo ago. Receieved letter from CAMCO saying they purchased an old debt from another foreclosure group and I owe $ for some account I don't recall having. Had some accounts that I did default on, but did take care of 7 years ago. These credit cards that I defaulted on was over 10 years ago. I am now getting calls on a regular basis. I won't answer the calls. I thought that if I owed anything it would show up on my credit report over the passed 7 years to date. Nothing. I am very upset by this. The statue of limitations in my state from the default is 6 years, if I read this correctly. Can someone harrass me? I really could use some advise and guidance. Thank you
