Just not true. Ther is NO benefit to the consumer to pay a CA......it benefits only the CA. We hear the stories over and over again. Broken promises.
It is unfortunate, but the system just isn't set up to reward the consumer after the account has been charged off. If the account is still with the OC and has not been charged off, then I think the consumer should make the effort, if possible. However, the consumer should NEVER put a credit card debt ahead of necessities. Food, Shelter, Medical.
