PMS Collects. How appropriate.

From their BBB listing you can see that they are a “typical” collection agency.
Trash-mouthed, lying, telemarketing, money beggars…

“We rate this company as having an unsatisfactory business performance record.

Complainants allege the company attempts to collect on debts which are not theirs, are erroneous, or have already been paid. In most of these cases, complainants reportedly experience difficulty in clearing the account. Some complainants allege their efforts to resolve the situation are met by rude, and uncooperative customer service representatives who call and ask the complainants to prove the debt is invalid.

The company responds to some complaints by requesting additional information, correcting records, ceasing collection efforts, or by disputing the complainants allegations. In some cases, complainants allege they are referred back to the original debtor. Allegations of unethical collection practices are generally not addressed. Some complaints are closed as unresolved, meaning the complainants are not satisfied with the company's response. Other complaints remain unanswered.

If you have been contacted by a collection agency for a debt which seems unfamiliar to you, carefully check your records to verify the the origin and amount before paying. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act protects consumers from unfair collection tactics including, threats, harassment, and collection of fictitious debts.

This law also requires debt collectors to supply documentation to substantiate the debt upon the request of the debtor. If they are unable to present the requested documentation, you are not required to pay the debt.

The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or disapprove of any product, service or company. “
