I have really liked the advice you have given on this site but I have a question for you. I have been ignoring the CA, which you always suggest. I got a cease and desist letter against them, by certified mail and they quit calling about 6 months ago. Then, out of the blue, they called again (Wolpoff and Abramson) and demanded a payment of 119.00 to make my account "current". I told them I did not have it and I was working with a debt counseling agency (which I am). They claimed to have no knowledge of this and continued to demand the money. I refused but at some point I did admit to owing the money, verbally on the phone. Is this really bad? Then, they stopped calling and 2 months later I get a notice of arbitration from NAF. What can I do. You advise to ignore them and let the SOL run, but my SOL (MN) is not up for about 4 more years. I can't ignore them that long can I? Will they sue?
