You can always ask the Court for a hardship exemption.

HAVE you been sued? If you are sued, you should file an answer and notice of appearance and require them to PROVE every single ¢ of their claim, with a copy of your signed application, account statements, proof of the legality of the interest charges and legal fees etc.

When did you last pay the original creditor on this account?
