Wife hides credit card debt

How can I keep my shopaholic wife from credit card debt? She hides the mail (while I'm at work). 8 years ago I discovered $12,000.00 in debt which was hidden. Now she is up to $3,000.00 plus taking money slated for tuition this year. Can her credit be ruined without ruining mine? Can a judge order her to never pay with a credit card?
