changing/deleting PAID accounts? Possible?

Hi! I have 9 negative items on my CR, and 6 of them are paid. I've got everything from chargeoffs (later paid through a CA) to a paid CC that is listing my previous payments as 30, 60-days late, etc. Since these all have zero balances and are closed, do I have no choice but to simply wait for them to disappear? Could I try to remove them? Would I go through the CRA, the OC, or the CA, or all of them? :-)Also, I'm currently paying my last 3 cards off (2 are with a CA), but I'm wondering if just paying them the money is a bad idea. I've been so proud of myself for paying things off, but my credit is still so terrible!! Thanks for your help . . .
