It won't do any good to avoid the award of an arbitration award. Your refusal means little to them. However you still need to send in the refusal of arbitration letter anyways because that will be critical in the next step. The next step after they get their arbitration award is to turn it over to a collection agency/attorney for litigation against you. They have to enter the arbitration award into court and get it turned to a judgment. THis is where your refusal of arbitration comes in. YOu will have to submit it to the courts that you refused arbitration and you will have to force them to sue you, prove their case before they can get their judgment. That is the only reason you send the refusal arbitration letter in. If you don't they get an automatic win with both the arbitration board (JOKE) and with the courts.
