W&A will take you through the NAF arbitration process. You can send a letter refusing arbitration but the NAF will rule against you unless you show why you don't owe the money or that it's not your account etc. W&A will then take that arbitration award and try to get you to pay. If you do not pay, they will then get a local attorney in your city to file it with a court. At that point, if you want to fight it, you will need to file motions to show the court that the NAF did not have the right to issue the award because you refused arbitration etc. This may or may not result in a dismissal of the award. If it does not dismiss the award, the court will allow them to garnish your bank accounts and employer. The NAF is a cheap way for W&A to get an award against you. You can always request a NAF hearing and see whether W&A can bring in witnesses to provie its case but I think when you do that you may waive the refusal to arbitrate argument.
