They are an entity which purchases bad debt and farms it out to participating Law Firms on a contingency basis. They are known as Collect America and you have to be an attorney to buy into their franchise. Normally, it is attorney's who can't make it in the real world and they normally have no knowledge of the collection industry, so it is usually very easy to have them violate the FDCPA in some fashion where you can file a grievence with the ethics committee and the AG.
