What's The Process w/ CCC to settle account?

I have discussed settlement with my CCC and we agreed to percentage (60%) ( $7k) I can live with. They told me it's been approved and they will send out the settlement offer letter today. I am about 25 days from charge-off. What should I expect or look for in the letter? Any chance they can take my money an just apply it to the account? I have taped the phone conversations where they tell me I will get a 1099c for $$$ and the acount balance will be zero and reported as R5 settled etc and debt won't / can't be sold. Should this look like a contract with signatures carbon copies etc. or is just a form letter with details OK. Thanks!
