Credit Report Question

I just ordered a single credit report from Experian to check the status of repairing my credit. I got married in May and only 1 open account shows on my report and it is a current account. Everything old is gone. Does anyone know if information is not automatically kept with your social security number? I know all my bad accounts have not reached the 7 year limit. I'm confused plus I feel like this was a waste of money ordering this credit report. Any ideas?
