Is it an interest bearing account? Whose name is first on your statements? The person at the bank did not understand your quesion, or was too dumb to know the answer. Fl. is NOT a community property State, unless your creditor's already KNOW your joint account information from your having paid by personal check, there is NO legal way for the account to be seized UNLESS your name is FIRST, and YOUR SS # is used to send statements of interest paid.
