The mortgage lender is full of crap. Either lying or just doesn't have a clue. The CA can report the date they bought the account, but that does not restart the SOL. I would find a different mortgage lender and look for a consumer attorney. www.naca.net Credit boards has a mortgage forum. You might be able to find a lender who will work with you on this. Plus, they know which mortgage lenders are good and what kind of FICO scores they accept. Good Luck.
