yes, a Visa check card works the same as a CC. As you said, you need to remember that it DOES come out of your checking account. So if you use, better make sure the money is there to back it up. If you use it to reserve something, make sure you tell them it's a visa not a debit card. Some places are weird about that. Hope this helps :)
