One thing about a Visa debit card you need to remember is when you pay for something with the VDC it comes out of your account IMMEDIATELY. It is not like writing a check where it may take 2 or 3 days to clear your bank. If you order items online, make sure you get a confirmation number on your purchase. Also, If you use it for motel reservations, they do not actually charge the amount to your account until you arrive at the motel. This is only done to guarantee the reservation.
