The debt is old and I made several bad mistakes in the beginning. When I first got the summons I didn't answer it I called them first and tried to set up payment arrangments and did this via mail. Before I set up payment arrangments I asked for them to provide me with when the account was opened, last activity and such and heard nothing. Until I received the "Notice of Motion" stating that on 7/30/04 they are going to ask for a default judgement. I live in Illinois and wasn't sure if attending this "date" would do anything. Then my second question is if they get a default judgement what do I expect next (ie garnishment and if so how fast)???? (thanks for replying so quickly)
