The discovery letter was from the lawyer that is suing me. They want to know if I was ever offered a settlement, last time I charged, last time I paid, what checking account I paid with, etc.
In my answer I just told the truth, I explained that Providian turned my account over to Encore and they requested post dated checks. I also told them that my balance NEVER went down, no matter what I paid. I asked someone from Encore to check into it and I never heard from them again. I was just honest, probably TOO honest because I couldn't afford a lawyer and didn't know what to say.
