Medical bill was sent to CA, but we made payments to the hospital instead of the CA. The hospital had been accepting the payments until the final payment. Sent the last payment to hospital to finish paying in full, but hospital would not post the check nor send the check back to us. After 7 mos. I stopped payment on the check and now two weeks later the CA filed suit (We have not been served yet - just caught it on court website). What should we do?
