That is not necessarily true. My daughter's credit report still lists her college address and still says she is a student.
She is paying her college loans, and they come to her in care of me.
So, they don't have her address, and have not been able to get it for several years.
She has a valid drivers license and owns an old car, which is titled and registered to her. So, she is not hiding.
She gets this very same letter, about every 8 to 10 weeks from Northland. Now I KNOW this is way passed SOL, but I don't respond because she still has one account that is within SOL.
