Ignoring them won't stop them from filing suit if the amount is large enough. The CA starts out pissed at you the minute your file lands on their desk. I had only one encounter with a CA over the phone and was yelled at and called names, all I said before his tirade started was hello and yes this is me. You see, I had ignored them, it wasn't my bill. Guess what, my pre-trial conference was 7/7, my bench trial is 8/25, and I have a stack of interrogatories and plaintiff's first request for admissions an inch thick to fill out and mail back to them by 8/16. They were waiting until our truck was paid off, not a response from me to file their lawsuit. I talked to them in November, the truck was paid off in December, reported on the CR paid off in January, their last request for my CR was 1/2004 and the affidavit for the complaint was signed 2/08/2004.
