Well, they can see that you DID live there, but they don't know if you STILL live there. Nothing How often are those (info sites ) updated. How would they find friends and relatives? I have read that they call everyone with the same last name, but if it is a family of females, who have married, that won't work. Especially with older family whose parents have passed away. The baby boomers for instance. How would they find their friends. I think you are right to a point, but only to a point.

A smart consumer, can stay under the radar if they really want to. AND it's not really hard, just a few basic rules.
