you know what, you sound just like me. I feel horrible because I know I need to pay, but reality sinks in and I can't. Thanks to JKelly on here, I have come to realize that it isn't bad. Tough times have hit and you have to do what you can. Embarrased, you better believe it. But when I went to my 341 meeting, I was amazed at how many people also filed (and so was my hubby). There had to been at least 40-50 people in the room. My world started coming back together again when I filed BK. I knew I didn't have to pay anymore CC's and such. Everyone stops hounding you and you can function normally again. I could actually answer my phone finally!!! And now, it NEVER rings...lol If a collector called, I gave them my lawyers number and hung up. And that only happened twice.
Just remember, you have to take care of you and your family. No, I didn't tell anyone we filed and I probably never will. BK has the bad stigma, but get over it. BK is not what it used to be years ago. You will be able to get credit again. Time to get a fresh start on life.
