If it were me, I would go ahead and file the certificate of service and send your requests CRRR, but expect them to ask for a continuance. You should get it to them as soon as possible though. I would also call the court house on the day of court to make sure it is still on the docket for that day if you haven't received a notice from the court saying it has been continued. Sometimes the plaintiff will get the continuance so close to the court date that you won't get a notice and you find out after you have waited for hours for your case to come up. Most of Missouri cases like this are done like a cattle call with several cases scheduled for the same time and they call them one at a time. You can wait all morning, break for lunch and wait 2 hours in the afternoon if everyone shows up. Make sure you let the court clerk know you are there as soon as you get in the building because that is how the cases are put on that day's docket, first come first served.
