Camebece broke Fair Debt Act

Hi there - I was hoping for some info or advice and to give you guys a warning. Camebece "law firm" called my mother and told her ALL about a debt they bought from Direct Merchants Bank. They told her about the card, how much I owed and then tried to get my contact info from her. They scared her into calling me by saying I would be sued if I didn't reply by 4 p.m. that day. I called them, after reading stuff here and reading the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and told them that what they had done was illegal. They aren't supposed to give out any info unless it's to you or your attorney. I also told them that since they were in Mass. and I was in another state that I knew they couldn't sue me. They said they had people in my state, so I said I would rather deal with my local people and to give me contact info for them. They dodged that question. They also told me they were working for "Worldwide Asset Recovery" so I asked for their contact info and they refused. They said I had to pay my debt or I would be sued and have to pay court and lawyer fees. I told them to do whatever they wanted because I wouldn't pay an agency that OBVIOUSLY isn't legit if they broke the Fair Debt Act by disclosing my debt info to another person. I eventually spoke to the "branch manager" and he said he didn't think his rep told my mother anything and that she must've opened my mail. I cou'dn't believe he wouldn't admit that they did something wrong! Anyone have any advice? I'm contacting a lawyer today but I don't have proof that they told my mother so I don't think I have a case against that. Does anyone know what they might do next? Thanks in advance.
