BK versus staying where I am

I have heard that filing BK is the best thing to do, and that your credit is good shortly after doing so, I have about 2 years left on about 6 accounts that are with collection agencies.....I rent my house, have no assets to speak of etc.....would it be best to file BK and get these collectors off my case? or stay where I am and let the 7 years run out?....just curious to input
