I looked through my credit report and noticed that a JCPenney card from 1994 is still on there. I used the card up to about 1996, got behind a bit but eventually paid off all the balance by 1997. During this time, JCPenney informed me that they closed my account and I could no longer use the card, so I cut it up and threw it away. Looked at my report the other day and there is the JCPenney account reporting as open and current. Can I get this off?
