I have found out in a previous lawsuit that by going to the court or in some states logging in with a computer you can review other cases. First thing I deed was sent a letter to the court ( I did it via fax and mail) with the names and the court case showing on the summons denying the debt and although not necessary in some cases I also included AFFIRMATIVE DEFENSES. Who owns the debt. where and when did they occurred. I also at the beginning demanded a trial by jury. that is very important and all citizens are entitled to one. I requested DISCOVERY and sent a QUESIONAIRE. I wanted them to state and show proof where the purchaSES WERE MADE. I INSISTED ON A TRIAL BY JURY, THE ATTORNEY WAS FROM OUT OF TOWN AND A DAY BEFORE THE TRIAL HAD THE CASE DISMISSED. IN MY CASE ( YOU DON'T HAVE TO) I HIRED COURT REPORTERS AND TOOK A TRANSCRIPT OF WHAT WAS SAID IN COURT. SOMETIMES JUDGES MAKE MISTAKES. DO YOU HAVE A LAW LIBRARY OR COLLEGE NEARBY, SOMETIMES THE STUDENTS WILL HELP. BUT REMEMBER THEY HAVE TO SHOW PROOF THAT YOU OWE THE MONEY..AND IF YOU EVER HAD A CREDIT CARD SAVE THE CHECKS. IN MY CASE I THREW OUT THE STATEMENTS A LONG TIME AGO AND THE PLAINTIFF COULD NOT COME UP WITH EACH AND EVERY PURCHASE.
