Hello Bob,
We live in TX. I just paid - off 2 accounts last week. The orginal Credit Cards were issued in 2000 and they expired in 2001. The CA is Associated Recovery Systems out of CA. We never ask for new Credit Cards infact when the new cards came in with different Account numbers
I called and ask why the account numbers were different then the orginal card numbers and Capital One replied that after the old cards hit their expiration date we give out new numbers. The credit limits never increased on the accounts and since there were outstanding balances on the old cards numbers, I the old balances rolled over on the new credit cards. These Credit Cards were Charged - Off in 2003. We are still going to
pay off the other Account in which, we
still owe on but I still feel like since the old balances were transferred to the new account numbers I don't on the old Account numbers.
Even tho we still owe on these credit cards, this has not prevented us from purchasing new autos and a new house in which we will be moving into this coming week. So if I don't reply for a few weeks we are moving into the new house.
