JerNTN's suggestion to get an attorney is right. I am not sure I understand the part about the class action suit and refusal of payment. Did they ever require you to start making payments before or since the wreck? Would your vehicle have been paid off by the date of the wreck if Ford wouldn't have refused payments for that class action suit?

You might check to see if your state allows what the insurance industry calls double dipping if the wreck wasn't your fault. That is where you can collect from the insurance of the person that was at fault and again from your own insurance company. I know Missouri allows this, but I am not sure what other states do. Also, you should insist on keeping the car, you might be able to sell it for parts or to someone that wants to restore it. Besides, the insurance's standard for totalled and not worth fixing are sometimes 2 different things. You might be able to recoup some money.

As far as your having to pay Ford, if you had any remaining balance on your car note, you are still obligated to pay it off even if your car is totalled. That is why you have to maintain full coverage on any vehicle that has isn't paid for in full.
