Also, a question...when I was paying at Encore on my Providian charge the balance NEVER went down, in fact, it went up. They also insisted that I pay with post-dated checks, is that legal? I didn't think they could tell you that you had to use post-dated checks. They wanted me to date them up six months at a time. The most I ever did was three and my balance still kept raising.
