NC does not allow wage garnishment. Are you saying your last payment to MBNA while the account was in good standing was in 04/2001?? If so, you are beyond SOL, and the debt is no longer legally collectible. I doubt that the car can be taken, unless they gave you a new Porsche or Rolls Royce. Here is the NC page from my website, there are TWO very good consumer lawyers linked at the bottom of the page. You need to pay one of them for a "consultation" to see what your best course of action is.
