All credit card use should stop at least 90 days prior to filing. However, if you can PROVE that your charges were for necessities, then it should not be a problem. Just keep ALL receipts. If you can wait 60 days, even better, but if you can't, then make sure you have the proof of what you charged for and file sooner.
