SF City Attorney demanded Collection Agency stop

I received a bill from Rickenbacker Collections along with 3,000 other citizens in San Francisco within the last week. This bills are fraud. Each of us had signed over our trucks/cars to City Tow in return for towing fees/storage to be dropped. I did this 1 year ago, and suddenly I receive this bill from Rickenbacker Collections. City Tow has never contacted me in any way regarding this. I filed complaints against City Tow & Rickenbacker Collections with the FTC, BBB, AG of California, DA/City Attorney of San Francisco, KRON4, ABC7, CBS5, FOX2, NBC11, and had also contacted my lawyer regarding this. My lawyer is going to write a letter to City Tow/Rickenbacker Collections...I guess demanding for them to stop. My lawyer asking me what I want done. If the DA/City Attorney of San Francisco demanded Rickenbacker Collections and City Tow (original creditor) cease all collection activity immediately,and claim the fees may not be legitimate and to report to the DA's office no later than Aug 2nd...does that mean Rickenbacker Collections has to stop attempting to collect? The DA has received a lot of complaints within the last 10 days since people started rec these bills. City Tow has been sued and still pending the previous lawsuit by San Francisco. They were banned from ever conducting any business in San Francisco again. I guess I'm just scared that my good credit ruined if I don't pay this bill. I know don't owe it. Any good advice would help. Oh..there's also articles/news briefs regarding City Tow avail online ...it'll give you a better picture of what I'm dealing with..thank you
