Can you make an offer to pay about $3k at one time if they agree to settle for that amount? Sometimes you get someone at MBNA who is willing to approve a settlement if they think you will go bk. Tell them you are going to borrow the money from relatives if they accept and have them confirm the settlement in writing to you before you pay them.

I don't think that $150/month will cover the high interest that you are being charged so they will not agree to that.
